In an effort to further strengthen the capacity of UNFPA staff, for programming in the area of HIV/AIDS, UNFPA organized jointly with UNAIDS, a Technical Consultation Meeting and Capacity Building Training on Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and HIV/AIDS linkages.

The meeting was held during the period 19 -21 May, in Cairo, and was attended by some Country Representatives, and HIV/AIDS focal points staff from UNFPA Country offices in the Arab region.

During the three-days meeting, participants discussed linkages opportunities and the role of UNFPA at Country level in relationship to the linkages.

IN addition, the Global Needs Assessment tool for linking SRH and HIV was presented and the ways to utilize the tool at locally was well explained. (maybe you want to put here that the tool was tested by participants for relevance and comprehensiveness

At the end, working groups presented their action plans for linking SRH and HIV that should be followed-up the workshop facilitators.
